Because one of the fortes of Airtech is to listen carefully to the needs of our customers, every consultation session for customizing your unique vacuum or pump solution will focus on deeply understanding the intended application of the custom product, and how the product will fit into your industrial operations. Next, our product engineers will discuss the key design parameters such as application specifications and product footprint with you. Whether the consultation phase takes one session or multiple sessions to complete, Airtech makes it our priority to ensure your needs are fully met before we proceed to design your custom vacuum or pump.
Sometimes, when it comes to custom product design, it doesn’t mean that we have to start from scratch for every design process. Many of our past customers have found excellent value in altering a few components in existing products while making sure that the capabilities of the customized product match perfectly with the requirements of the intended application. That’s where our product engineers excel because even in our quest for innovation, we find the best way to help you enjoy custom engineering solutions at the most affordable cost. Of course, there are also times when customizing existing products do not suffice, and that’s when we will utilize our knowledge and expertise to custom design a new vacuum or pump system that you want.
To be honest, fabrication is our favorite stage because we get to enjoy the pleasures of seeing product designs come to life for our customers. We work hard to source for the best materials for your custom vacuums and pumps, and use a range of state of the art technologies to fabricate the product while meeting stringent industry standards. Whether it’s using laser cutting or 3D printing or more, our product engineers are highly trained to facilitate the fabrication process from start to finish. Airtech has highly capable resources and facilities to support the fabrication in-house so that we are in total control over the entire process.
After the fabrication phase, our expert product engineers will subject the newly manufactured product to a product validation process. This is to ensure that the custom product is proven to meet all requirements of its intended application. Using computerized tomography and optical laser scanning, we can obtain fast and accurate measurements to ensure product validation. Furthermore, top-of-the-line Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) will be utilized to give you the best assurance for our product validation phase, so that our customers will never have to return a product that fails at its intended function when installed at their industrial facilities.
As many of our customers will know, custom vacuum and pump systems come with many smaller but essential components to enable these vacuums and pumps to work as intended. After we are satisfied with the product validation, our product engineers will launch into the assembly process so that we start to fit all the fixtures together to achieve the final product. It’s also the time to perform welding and check torque control, just to mention a few core tasks, so that the custom vacuum and pump system is ready to undergo the testing process before we deliver the product into the hands of our customers.
As the last stage of our custom engineering process, Airtech does not take the testing phase lightly. Our product engineering team needs to ensure that the assembled custom vacuum or pump system can rise up to the challenges expected of it. From validating vibration to flow to vacuum to sound to thermal imaging to a wide range of voltages, you can expect that your custom product is subject to a wide spectrum of tests to validate its complete capabilities and to ensure that it is compliant with your industry standards. Once we are 100% satisfied that the custom product has achieved flying colors in all areas, our pride next is delivering the product right into the hands of our customer!
